My Music Project

Echoes in Colour

Introducing ‘Echoes in Colour,’ my new music project with a simple yet profound goal: to explore the intersection of sound and sensation. Drawing inspiration from the experiences of people with synaesthesia, I encourage listeners to perceive music not just as a series of notes, but as a palette of sensory experiences. ‘Echoes in Colour’ is a humble invitation to experience music in a more intimate, personal way, fostering a connection that goes beyond the auditory. Listen, feel, and discover a new way of interacting with music.

Guided by the past years of experience and a deepening refining of music production skills, I’ve returned to my roots to re-explore some personal favourites. ‘Postcards from Mono No Aware’ is a sincere reflection and reinvention of 10 cherished tracks, each reimagined and repackaged with newfound insight. It’s a personal journey through the lens of music, lovingly curated for your ears.

Mnono_Awre 2017 – 2023

Mono-no aware: is a Japanese word that encapsulates the meaning of the ephemeral nature of beauty – the quietly elated, bittersweet feeling of having been witness to the dazzling circus of life – knowing that none of it can last.

Music, for me, is a gateway to a universe of sensations and a spectrum of emotions. My tracks are akin to postcards—snapshots from the varied landscapes of feeling that music transports me to. I strive to capture these moments, crystallising them into timeless pieces, not just for personal reminiscence but as invitations for listeners to traverse these emotional landscapes long past their inception.

INTERLUDES ELOPER EP – 2023

My first actual album as Mnono_Awre.

When you think you met the right person only for things to not work out. But life goes and you still have the memories. And that’s nice.
All tracks done on the OP-1 and edited on Reason.

I had been going through some stuff around that time.

Instruments:
Volca sample of beats
Volta FM on baseline
Synth one (on iPad) modified sine patch with Arturia Keystep’s sequencer.
PO-33 samples from a jazz song don’t remember recording.
Added some after-effects in Reason 10.

All the things we felt, all the things we lived last summer in Vilnius.
We walked, we talked, we accidentally ended up places.

Moving towards our summer destination.
Heathrow.

I was mesmerised by Slenterende Beer’s latest track “4x Volca Keys With Tascam 4-Track Cassette Recorder”(youtu.be/37xMwKzIEkk) and felt the urge to find a way to be part of it.
This track is my interpretation of the journey I was taken on.

I was just discharged from the hospital.
Didn’t really see anyone for 10 days.
I’ve been holding on to memories.

14/02/2020 We celebrated 10yrs together.
What a journey it has been, eh?
I’m the luckiest man to have you by my side.
Composed entirely in Reason 10.

It was a late May Bank Holiday.
So we went to the beach with the kids.
After a week of rain, it felt lucky to have such nice Sunny weather.
This song is the memory of that day.
There were bells on the Pier.

As lockdown measures were being eased, we cautiously ventured outside to a nearby park and enjoy the weather, and we took a kite with us.

A daydream of all of the things that could have been.
A daydream in between stops on my journey home.
Then I get off, just move on with real life and forget it ever happened.

One of my few best friends moved to a faraway country so we had dinner together with the gang. IT felt both a happy time because we got to see each other again after such a long time (quarantine) and sad because it’ll be a long time before it will happen next.

I made this track in 2-3 days.
I wanted to make something happy and cheerful that would remind me of how awesome it’ll be once we can go outside again without fear.
2021 will hopefully be alright.

This is the first song I completed after her passing. I wanted it to be happy. I wanted to encapsulate the feeling of knowing the summer is about to come to an end and so you just remember to make to most of it.
